Fall Flower Arrangements
Today is officially the first day of Fall. To celebrate the commencement of my favorite season, I picked up lots of flowers that reflect the deep, warm colors of the season. I played around with all the flowers, branches, and leaves to create the above arrangements for one of client's office. I hope these arrangements warmed up their office.

Brighten someones Monday tomorrow by sending them a small bouquet for their desk. This rose arrangement filled with echinacea purpureas can brighten up the most dull office.

Happy Grandparents Day
Hope everyone had a good grandparents day. I got to celebrate the day with my two grandsons. This afternoon as a treat for myself, I made this arrangement for my desk.

Instability of Perfect Beauty
I love reading the The Meaning of Flowers because I often learn a different meaning for a flower than my own. I was intrigued by dahlias when I discovered in this book that dahlias suggest the instability of perfect beauty. This is because dahlias are fickle flowers that do not survive everywhere. We think that makes dahlias the perfect flower for September. Living in San Francisco we also find that the fickle "summer" weather makes it challenging for us to live in this beautiful city. One day its hot, the next you wake up with a blanket of fog over your head. In honor of the two beauties, San Francisco and Dahlias, we are offering a 20% discount on orders with Dahlias that are delivered in San Fransisco. You can order online or call us at 800-726-4909.

Local Flower Farms
I was arranging flowers in a farm in half moon bay last week. I found it good to see flowers where they are growing so close to us.
